    Fast. Simple. Personal.

Partners benefit from DB's fibre-optic network.

The digitization of the rail network has created a nationwide fibre optic network. The foundation for modern rail operations. At the same time, a foundation on which further digitization in Germany can be built.

The new communication network has more capacity than we can use at Deutsche Bahn ourself. As a result, overcapacity is available, which we have been actively offering to the telecommunications market and the public sector since November 2019.

One point of contact for fibre optics.

To make it as easy as possible for the telecommunications market to access DB's fibre optic network, we have founded DB broadband GmbH. The company is the central gateway to DB Group for fibre optics, focusing on the telecommunications industry and the public sector.

    Expanding fibre optics in partnership.

For fast and economical fibre optic expansion, the use of existing infrastructures is a good option. Since day one, we have therefore focused on partnerships with our nationwide infrastructure. Together with telecommunications companies, we are looking at where and how we can use DB's existing and future fibre optic network in order to efficiently develop underserved regions.

Networking in the industry is therefore our top priority. But networking and cooperation within DB is also an important building block in order to be able to offer the industry services that are really needed for fibre optic expansion.
