DB broadband and GasLINE sign a framework agreement

DB broadband and GasLINE are cooperating in the leasing of their fibre-optic networks. On the basis of a framework agreement, GasLINE can also offer its customers the fibre-optic capacities provided by DB broadband.

DB broadband markets the free capacities in Deutsche Bahn's fibre optic network. This network runs along railway lines and covers more than 20,000 kilometres. By 2027, DB's entire route network (33,400 km) is to be supplied with fibre optics.

GasLINE is backed by ten long-distance and regional gas companies. Their fibre optic network covers more than 32,000 kilometres and will be expanded by another 3,000 km by 2024.
